Thanks Mateo. I also really enjoyed reading about your exeriences of Florence (and, let’s face it, the prejudice you encountered). It surprised me really, in that Italy is a place which is so cospomolitan (historically too), that you had the experience you describe so eloquently. Maybe this is the issue here. There is always a sense of introspection in places where so many different people come together? Anyway, you will always have a warm welcome here if/when you return!
